FIDELITY LODGE HISTORY

  • As the oldest lodge in District 11, Fidelity Lodge #10 has the privilege of being that in which all District 11 lodges originate from.
  • Fidelity recieved its dispensation to operate as U.D. Lodge in January 1903. It was fully constituted and granted a charter as Fidelity Lodge No.10 on July 21, 1903 by Grand Master Joseph S. Hatton.

  • PM Richmond C. Marshall later went onto serve as the Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge in 1906 but passed only a year after.
  • In January 2006, Starling J. Hopkins #88 surrended its constitution and merged with Fidelity Lodge #10. Initially Starling J. Hopkins Lodge No. 88 was instituted May 12, 1956, constituted October 21, 1956 under Most Worshipful Grand Master Edgar Al Fulcher.
  • Fidelity has met in many locations one of them being Elks Lodge on Commercial Street. In 1956 Fidelity moved into its own building at 3007 Logan Avenue, where members enjoys meetings on the First and Third Friday of each month.
